Counselling & Psychotherapy

a space to soften the armour

My name is Julian and I offer psychotherapy for people who carry a lot and those who are often relied upon, whether at work, at home, or in their wider lives. You may be managing great responsibility or striving to meet high expectations, yet inside you might feel anxious, exhausted, or disconnected from the person you want to be.

You don’t need to collapse to ask for support. You just need somewhere you don’t have to hold it all together. You’ve coped. You've adapted. But you haven’t necessarily healed.

Who I work with?

I work with people who, on the surface, often appear capable, responsible, and successful, yet inside may feel anxious, disconnected, or depleted.

You might be:
   •    Experiencing stress, burnout, or major life changes, whether personal or professional.
   •    Living with the impact of loss, trauma, or moral injury.
   •    Someone who constantly prioritises others - your work, your clients, your responsibilities - often at the expense of your own wellbeing.
   •    A professional in law, the arts, medicine, academia, finance, public service, education, or leadership, navigating high expectations and complex pressures.
   •    Feeling deeply relied upon, in either your professional or personal life, and in need of space where you can be understood and supported.
   •    Wanting to understand yourself more deeply, to make lasting changes in how you live and relate to others.
   •    Or simply moving through a period of change and needing the space to talk and make sense of it.

However you arrive, my work offers a confidential, grounded space to explore what’s happening and to reconnect with yourself, clarify what truly matters, and create a way forward that aligns with your values.
